Slow Day In The Medical Bay (Closed to Eagle)
Some time was allowed by Meridia for the Corsola to get settled in. Once the patient seemed sufficiently mentally prepared, she moved in closer, raising her right hand. Energy swirled about it, collecting itself into a single sharp leaf. Magical Leaf, though not quite the kind seen in most combat uses of the move. This use was far more clinical in nature, somewhat sharper than any steel instrument could hope to be, therefore capable of
more precision.
"This will hurt, but it will not take long." Normally, a doctor would try to downplay the pain of any procedure, but Meridia was not truly a normal doctor. There was no point in lying when they would find out quickly otherwise. After that warning, of sorts, the Gardevoir would begin, leaning in and placing the tip of the Magical Leaf on the edge of the improperly healed scar. Then, with a bit of pressure, the makeshift blade would begin its cut, carving a perfect path between scar and other tissue.

Delta wanted to scream, shout, even speak, anything to distract from the pain; she daren't do anything while she had a razor-sharp leaf stuck in her face, lest she accidentally worsen the original scar. Delta briefly found herself wishing she could forge telepathic connections with others, exactly how the Gardevoir currently operating on her could. Oh, the things she would accomplish once this scar, a final reminder, was gone. It would improve her confidence, surely. Perhaps deepening of her psychic abilities could be on the cards, or further exploration, or beginning her personal research papers on the subjects of scientific application within detective work. She could do it without Rex, surely. Not that it mattered, everything both of them did was for the good of Skako. Maybe it so happened that helping Skako was accomplished by helping this place first - improving herself so she could be the best for Skako, as well as preventing Celestia from taking a similarly dark turn. Greed and apathy would be her enemies no matter where she went.
This had to be what Meridia meant by 'think of more joyful things'. The past was a wreck, but the future didn't have to be as well. Delta could think about that for hours to come. Her eyes remained peacefully shut, her body perfectly still. Delta, perhaps, was being a model patient.

A model patient indeed. Meridia made good progress thanks to Delta's perfectly still being. This was the kind of stuff Meridia was here for, even if this was a mostly cosmetic procedure. Service to any mon, for any reason minor or major, was a positive in her mind. Soon enough, the Gardevoir completed her surgery, Magical Leaf dissipating in thin air before Meridia used her psychic powers to remove the excised scar from the Corsola and deposit it into a hazardous waste bin across the room. That would be dealt with later. For now, a much more pressing matter existed.
Meridia placed both of her hands directly onto Delta's body, life-giving energy now emanating from them. Although Heal Pulse was effective without physical contact, the Gardevoir would be able to better direct it and keep a sharp eye on the process from close up. As the energy entered the Corsola, the wound began to stitch itself back together, as if by magic. Unlike the natural healing of a wound, this was guided, forming together like the regular 'flesh' of the surrounding tissue. The healing was completed within thirty seconds, leaving no easily visible trace of the scar left. There were still minor signs of former damage, but overall...yes, Meridia enjoyed her handiwork.
"That should be it. How are you feeling, Delta?" Although she was certain that the pain was not too bad and that Delta should be in a fit state to leave almost immediately, it was best to get word from the patient herself.

Delta felt it all, ghosts could still feel. The bladed leaves, then the cooling, soothing sensation of Healing Pulse. Although no such environment existed back in Skako, she imagined it would feel like lying peacefully in a meadow blessed with a gentle breeze. In that moment, she was almost glad to feel things, that she wasn’t so far removed from her non-ethereal brethren. It was only a moment of serenity free from any thoughts, before Delta’s striking purple eyes shot open again.
“I’m alive, I guess.” It stung, but that was to be expected- oh. Of course she wasn’t technically alive. “… You know what I mean! A little sore, but I’ll put one of the plasters I have back at my room on it, and call it a day. The plaster supply is how I attempt to remedy my own clumsiness, a necessity in a relatively fragile body.” Delta explained, moving herself back upwards. She wasn’t a fan of being sedentary for too long. She’d also keep the fact the plasters had silly patterns on them to herself, for now. It didn’t quite suit her cold, but relatively malleable image.

Of course, Meridia's patient did not seem particularly grateful for the surgery, though that was offset by the mildly humorous comment. The Gardevoir would nod at Delta as she mentioned plasters, not in agreement but to show that she had heard. She'd step back as the ghost floated up a little, giving the pokemon whatever personal space it wanted, if any.
"My official recommendation is to gain some rest, ser. One or two days." Not only would that prevent the exacerbation of any minor imperfections or damage that still remained, it would allow the Corsola to come to the medical bay should need arise on a moment's notice. The chance of that was slim to none, but caution prevented tragedy. "This is not binding advice, however."
Dungeon delving was a dangerous business, from what Meridia had heard. She had even seen the results of it, pokemon perhaps far too young for violence arriving with serious injuries. But free will being what it is, Meridia would simply give whatever her thoughts are and allow patients to come to their own conclusions.

“That’s agreeable. I’m in no rush to enter another dungeon.” Delta remembered the expedition to the forest with a huff and an eye-roll. Such idiocy and bleeding hearts from the team had put her off a little. Next time would be, had to be different- as much as she would rather be in the medical division, she wasn’t quite willing to sack off Rex’s orders to explore and broaden her horizons just yet. “Forgive the assumption but… you feel powerful and experienced. Shouldn’t you be out there charting all of these dungeons?” She quietly asked, her eyes wide with curiosity.

Powerful? Experienced? Meridia would agree with the latter in comparison to most of the present guild members, but the former was a dash more surprising. The shiny Gardevoir knew that the even the Guildmaster himself was of comparable strength to herself from what she had heard, yet still it seemed...wrong almost. Why would there not be plenty of more powerful pokemon eager to see new sights? Still, Meridia was not quite in her youth any longer, days of risking it all well and truly behind her.
"I believe myself better suited with my skills here. However, if you ever do find yourself in need of a doctor whilst out there, I would be able to oblige."

"I sense things, is all. How strong other Pokemon are, I feel it if I'm in close enough proximity to them. The air almost... sings to me, it's an electric sensation. It's kept me alive a few times in my old line of work, it's not to be scoffed at." That odd power came as a consequence of belonging to a long line of psychics, their innate abilities had meshed themselves - albeit weaker - into Delta. Weak or not, it kept her and Rex safe from many a determined assassin.
"But you're the best judge of your own skills and limits. I'd never be a frontline fighter, for example." She cut an odd line between being blunt and accepting, like she'd concluded it wasn't worth the energy to try and whip others into shape anymore. "Thank you for your service. I'll be on my way unless there's anything else you'd like to mention."

Delta was more perceptive than Meridia would have given her credit for originally. The galarian Corsola seemed mostly correct in her assertations as well, given the apparent state of the Guild. However, the shiny Gardevoir would merely nod in affirmation at being thanked without commenting further on the topic of strength. That would be something for the Meridia of evening to figure out, rather than at present.
"Nothing further. It has been a pleasure in assisting you, Delta. If ever you have need of me again, ask for Doctor de Mystalion from one of the other medical staff. They will relay it to me." And with that, this medical visit was over. Meridia bowed her head mildly in recognition of such, turning away from Delta and moving to the hazardous waste disposal, intending to dispose of it now. And unless Delta has anything further to add, that is the end of this roleplay.
